European Lotto and Something You Might Not Recognise. How it Works, Who it Applies to and How You Can You Encounter that Large European Lotto

The Euro lotto was originally launched by the national lotteries of France, the United Kingdom and Spain and was revealed on February 04. The opening lotto draw was on February 13th 2004 in Paris. The Spain, France and the UK were the only nations partaking in the beginning but lotteries from Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland and Austria also became involved in October 2004.

The Euromillions lotto or the Euro lotto, as it’s usually known, pools the lottery ticket revenues of the 9 partaking Euro countries giving a super Euromillions jackpot. With the amount of countries joining the Euro on the increase, this will without question will lead to new countries participating in the European lotto. An increase in the amount of people partaking in the Euro Millions lottery will lead to a continuing increase of the already gigantic EuroMillions “jackpots”.

Q. How Would You Play The Euro Millions Lotto?

Each player must choose five primary numbers from 1 to 50 plus two Lucky Star numbers from one to nine. During the lottery draw, 5 main plus two “lucky star” numbers are then picked out at random from two draw machines containing numbered balls.

The probability of scooping up the Euro Lotto “jackpot” is a far-off one in seventy six million but the chances of winning a money prize is a fairly decent one in 24. If the jack-pot is not won on a given lottery draw, it is brought forward to the next lottery draw which results in an ever increasing “jackpot” value. Recent regulations brought in on the 9 February 2007 specify the amount of successive roll-overs to eleven, with the jackpot rolled down to lower prize levels on the 11th draw when the prize is not collected.

The new regulations also initiated Euro Millions Super-Draw which go on twice each year and offer jack-pots in the region of 100 million pounds. The difference with Super Draws is that the jackpot must be won during the calendar week of the lotto draw; as a result, if there is no ticket matching, all the numbers drawn and the top prize will then be allotted to the ticket bearer(s) on the succeeding winning prize tier.
