Polarizing your range just basically means confusing the hell out of your online poker opponents. All it means is that the way you bet your hand will either make it look really strong, or really weak. “The Nuts or Napkins” they say. Now, why would this be useful?

Well, if you play straightforward poker, chances are people have a decent idea of what your cards are. Do you make bigger raises with weaker hands and smaller ones with monsters? Do you just call when you have a flush draw and then bet when you hit it? If people are a little perceptive, they’re not going to pay you off when you hit our hand because it is pretty obvious.

The trick is to disguise your hand by bet sizing. If you have a great hand and you are first to act on the river, the standard move is to bet a portion of the pot that you think your opponent will call. This often leads casino online people to bet tiny value bets just so they get paid. If the pot is 800, sometimes the player will bet 200. The problem is, the bet looks like an “I want you to call” bet. If you do get called, you’re only making 200 chips, and if you don’t get called it’s because your opponent is positive you have him beat.

Instead, polarizing your range would be making a nice overbet on that river. When you do this, you get them scratching their head real fast. Why is he betting so much? If he had a real hand, wouldn’t he bet less, so he’d have a good chance of getting called? When people see an overbet they feel like playing the police. They start to think ace high is good. So, they make the call, you show a monster and they sheepishly much their cards and start feeling like an idiot. Later you can do this with a bluff and they, and other players at the table, will be far less likely to call you.

Oppositely, if you show down a poker online bluff in this fashion, you’ll have a good image to do the same with the nuts and turn a good profit. If you don’t bet telegraphically, then it’s harder for your opponents to play back at you.

All walks of life are enjoying bowling currently but only a few individuals know that the sport actually started thousands of years ago with the ancient Egyptians. To really be at the peak of your game you really need the right bowling balls, shoes and so on and it helps that it looks stylish too. It doesn’t matter what your taste, you are sure to buy equipment designs which you love. Bowling balls are no doubt the most significant piece of kit any bowler mat have. When picking out a bowling bowl the first quality to go for is its weight, about 10% of your own body weight is best. Of course you have to choose a ball made for right-handed or left handed bowling buff. Lastly, you can select design details. A bright colored ball maybe? Flowers or stars? Alternatively, how about a bowling ball featuring flames?

Next, you’ll want something fashionable for carrying them around in and to protect them while heading to and from the lanes. A classic leather bowling bag is great, they are also available with different pockets for all your paraphernalia, for instance pencils, scorecards etc.

Bowling ball bags are for sale in all kinds of color effects, designs, and pictures. Bowling bags are becoming a fashion accessory in their own right. Do be sure you purchase the best quality you can afford to avoid a painful disaster.

Click here and go to this detailed source for Roto Grip bowling balls information…

Your shoes are fundamental not just to your performance but also in your look. The fit of your shoes is without a doubt the most crucial factor in choosing bowling shoes. Opt for the comfortable option every time or you’ll find they are distracting and even difficult to play in. Apart from that, you may want a natural cloth if you’ll be wearing them for any length. Lastly, select a color which you like.

Exactly the same is true of your choice of clothing. Restrictive garments will make it almost impossible for you to have a good form, so do ensure that you buy the right size. In terms of colors and trends, feel free to express yourself provided you do not need to purchase a uniform.

When you consider that the ancient Egyptians invented bowling, it is difficult to believe that bowling is still around and more trendy than ever. These days, the gear you choose will improve your performance and could even bump up your score, as a bonus it also looks stylish. And to top it all off, this bowling gear is available to bowling buff of every age and in a plethora of styles...

Considering that the ancient Egyptians originally devised bowling, it’s difficult to conceive that the sport is still going from strength to strength. To reach your best it’s necessary to get the right equipment and it helps that it looks great too. It doesn’t matter what age you are, it’s simple to find equipment styles that you feel fantastic with.

The most important item for a bowler is the ball. When you go to select a bowling bowl the key matter to look at is its weight, about 10 percent of your own weight is best. Naturally, you need to buy a ball according to your dominant hand. Finally, it’s time to select color and pattern. A solid colored ball perhaps? Hearts or stripes? Or, possibly you’d rather have bowling balls with a particular image or a logo?

Once you have your bowling balls you will want a bag to carry them around in and keep them secure while heading to and from the bowling alley. You might opt for a simple bowling bag made from leather, they are also designed with pockets handy for all your paraphernalia, e.g. your cloth, wallet etc. Bowling ball bags come in every kind of color, pattern and design. As a matter of fact, they are becoming such a fashion statement that many people carry them as purse or overnight bag. Good quality is paramount in a bag as any breakage may easily result in a hurtful injury. Your footwear is essential not merely to your game play but also in your look. The fit of your footwear is without a doubt the most important factor when shopping for bowling shoes. If your shoes are uncomfortable, you’ll find them an annoyance and even hard to perform in. A natural fabric is also recommended as you may be spending a good deal of time bowling in them. Lastly, go for a pattern that you like.

When you are shopping for clothing, fashion is a matter of personal taste. Restrictive clothing can make it almost impossible for you to have a good form, so do make a point of checking that you buy the correct size. Unless you are tied to a uniform or a team color, when it comes to texture and design the world is your oyster. These hints should make buying bowling balls and other accessories less complicated. With the right gear, you will improve your game and look fashionable too…

Some players, however, don’t look at their cards at all until it is time to act. Why do some players practice this restraint while others can’t wait to see their cards?

There is sound reasoning behind waiting to look at your online poker cards. It is a common practice of professional poker players. By ignoring your own cards until it is time for you to act, you can focus on the other players’ actions. It lets you look for tells – for instance, if a player peeks at their cards, then looks at their chip stack, it often indicates a good starter hand.

When you wait to look at your cards, it eliminates anyone else getting a read on you ahead of time. Your card awareness and initial betting action coincide, so you really give off very few clues other than your actual action.

Waiting to look at your cards is a good way to practice discipline at the table, and provides an excellent opportunity to refine your reading skills of people, tells and hands.

For instance, a player may bet out 1,000 chips, and is called by a player with 700 chips, who is now all-in. Another player calls and matches the 1,000 bet, and is now also all-in.

If another player behind the 1,000 all-in caller may decide to push in more chips in an attempt to isolate the all-ins. The big stack bets out 3,000 – 700 of which go into the main pot. The 3,000 bet will put the original 1,000 bettor all-in too. Now that player has to make a decision to put all his poker chips at risk. If that player folds, he has no claim to any pot and is out of the action, leaving behind the the side pot with two eligible contenders, and the main pot for three players.

However, if the player calls the 3,000, then a second side pot is set up between the two big stacks, who are eligible to win all three pots. There are now three pots on the table: * The main pot with 700 x 4 bettors = 2,800 chips * The first side pot of 300 x 3 eligible bettors = 900 chips * The second side pot of 2,000 chips x 2 eligible bettors = 4,000 chips The side pots are awarded first. Whoever wins the second side pot of 4,000 knocks the losing hand out of the action for the other two pots.

Next, the hands are compared for the first side pot. The two poker players in for the original 1,000 bet are eligible for this pot; the 700 all-in caller is not. Whoever wins this pot knocks out the losing hand, and is now only in contention with the 700 all-in caller for the main pot of 2,800 (700 from all four bettors). The better hand wins the main pot.

Online, many poker sites let you sign up via a third party to enter a rakeback program. Rake is the amount the site takes out of each game you play. In poker tournaments you will often see something like $10+$1. The tournament costs you $11, but only $10 is entered into the prize pool. The other dollar goes straight to the house. In cash games, a certain percentage (usually 5%) of the pot is taken out at the end of every hand. You’ll see it collecting in a side pot on most sites.

There are other companies that work with the poker sites, which offer a portion of this rake to be returned to the players. This is basically a partnership to drum up new players for the websites, and in exchange, the players get a little kickback.

The rake is returned to you at the end of every month, and depending on how much you play, and at what stakes, can be very sizable. Let’s say you play 4 $10+1 sit and go’s every day. That’s $28 in rake a week, which accumulates to $112 a month. If your rakeback program gives you even 10% of that back, you’re getting a free game a month. I pretty sure you get more than that, however.

The point is, sometimes you don’t keep track of how much money is coming out of your account that is going straight to the house. These websites make tons of money based on this principle. A rakeback program is a great way to get a portion of the money you’re throwing away, back in your account.

The unfortunate thing about these programs, is that they are only for new users. Current users already play on the site and don’t need further incentive to do so. However, a bunch of existing players have started to show disappointment in this, and certain measures are being taken to change this in the future. Some direct inquiries have been resolved already.

Internet poker is a different animal from the game we grew up playing around the table with family and friends. There is decreased sensory input, while at the same time, a faster paced game unfolds in front of you.

You can use the lack of sensory information needed to play poker to your advantage, by opening more tables. This allows you to increase the number of hands you see per session, thereby decreasing your overall variance. It also increases your sensory stimulation, keeping you more focused on playing and focusing on poker. When you play live, you can only see one hand at a time, and then are prone to non-poker related distractions. When you play multiple poker tables online, you can immerse yourself in poker-related decisions every few seconds, keeping your mind focused on the task at hand. Train yourself to play more tables, and you will see your winrate increase, and you’ll have more fun in the process.

Then you can try playing online poker with your eyes closed for an additional challenge. It’s best to play this way in a freeroll tournament or some other incredibly low cost venue, as your chances of victory are pretty slim, considering everyone else isn’t being as stupid as you are.

Playvue.com Editor’s Rating: 8.0

Storyline

Diner Dash brings us the story of Flo, an office lackey fed up with the monotonous, unchanging pressures of everyday life and work in the big city. Thus she hucks everything out the window and runs off to find something better to do with her life. As it turns out, that is starting a restaurant chain in suburban America.

We are taken right into her quest as a restaurateur as Flo herself; an energetic, enthusiastic owner who fulfills every role from hostess to server, bartender and busboy (thankfully, cooking is provided by a overworked dark figure behind the counter).

Beginning with her very first diner, and ending with an upscale surf and turf joint, we take on Flo’s every activity; seating her guests, handing out menu’s, delivering breadsticks, taking and delivering orders (not to mention cocktails), clearing tables, and seating the next guests. All this in the pursuit of money with which to improve her existing restaurants or even open up a new one!

Navigation

The navigation is easy enough to pick up on the first try; it’s point and click (click on a dirty table, she runs over and clears it, click on table awaiting their food, she delivers it from the counter). This does get quite challenging in the later levels where it becomes necessary to click on other activities while Flo is executing the current one (the game creates a queue of activities which Flo will execute one by one until they are complete).

Ease of Use

In terms of ease of use, this game is fantastic. I wasn’t surprised when I was able to pick it up rather quickly, however I was surprised when my grandmother was flying through at a faster pace then I managed to muster. While easy to get going, it does require a master’s touch to reach the highest scores at the end of the levels where constant motion is a must. But this just adds to the playability, and is a welcome change to contemporary games which prove easy to complete with no added challenges.

Playability

I found myself wanting to complete this game all the way through the first time I played it; which would worry me as to whether the game would hold my interest a week or even a month later. However, these worries are relieved with the Endless Shift feature: a score building endless level which “keeps ‘em comin’” and provides extras like super ovens, bobcat-fast tennis shoes, and a super podium 3000 to help you along the way.

Full Version Features

The free trial includes unrestricted access and allows you 60 minutes of play; which just got me started. The full version includes 40+ levels of gameplay, 4 different chains, 5 different types of customers, two modes of play (Career and Endless Shift) and high score tracking. At only 10MB, it’s not a hard drive buster, nor will it clog up your dialup line for too long. And at $19.99 its not a wallet buster either: cheap enough to warrant casual play throughout the year.

Pros/Cons

Pros:

Appeals to the rest of us (non-hardcore teen gamers)

High repeat playability

Easy to use, navigate

Cons:

No multiple player support

Little high score competition (score posting available on publisher’s website)

Bottom Line

A busy restaurateur provides a nice change of pace to card and puzzle games for those of us who aren’t interested in shooting up aliens, goblins, or terrorists for 12 hours on end. Definitely high repeat playability, even after beating the Career portion of the game. Low price and download size are a real plus. Lacks in competition and multiple player support, however this only matters if you’re interested in such things. One of my top 10 games of the year.
