The standard monthly data usage by consumers of mobile broadband has also become twice the earlier usage in 2008. All this means that the data usage of mobile broadband is now almost the same as that of fixed-line connections.

Sweden is one of the largest users of mobile broadband among throughout the world, primarily due to the low prices charged by service providers in the country. This is in order to bring their prices at par with those charged by fixed-line internet providers. According to a senior partner working in a telecom consultancy company Rewheel of Helsinki, the report strengthens the conviction that mobile broadband is a possible replacement for fixed-line connections – click for a UK mobile broadband comparison.

The increase in mobile broadband usage definitely shows that it has market appeal and is gaining popularity among the consumers. However, the problem is that the increase in demand is probably due to the reduced charges levied by the service providers. The amounts that are being currently charged for mobile broadband would merely help in recovering the expenditure or would lead to losses, and they do not allow earning of any net income. According to experts, there is an urgent need for a better pricing model in the industry.

A new system has just been launched which could allow people to purchase electronic goods via their possibly recycled mobile phone, instead of using a credit card or some online payment service like PayPal. The new system is called Boku, and many consumers will be familiar with the way that it works, in that the charge for the goods appear on your mobile phone bill.

This model is exceptionally popular in Asia at the moment and Boku believed that this is an $8 billion annual market. Forget what you know out other payment methods which you may have seen previously including Beenz; this one looks like it is here to stay.

Boku have released a Youtube video which documents the mobile payment process in action. The key to a whole process is that when you are on a Boku enabled website you can choose the item which you wish to buy and then select the Boku option as the method of payment. The website will then ask your mobile phone provider and your mobile phone number, which you will hand over. The system then sends you a confirmation text message to mobile which you need to respond to, and this triggers the transaction to take place. The charge for the item that you have bought will then appear on your monthly bill as a premium SMS.

In theory they so wish should be very popular with those under the age of 18 who in theory do not have access to credit cards, and also shoppers across the world. In order to take advantage of this global market Boku have signed deals with over 170 and mobile phone networks, in over 50 countries. Boku also managed to back up their numbers with the fact that of people in the world that have mobile phones than have bank accounts. There are 4 billion mobile phones and only 2 billion bank accounts, so the potential here is massive.

The human evolution timeline is found recorded in Bible quotes (Book of Genesis). Adam’s rib symbolizes the chromosome and is the key to the man ape evolution. In discussing evolution vs creation, many convergences like this one are found.

Someone who holds to the theory of evolution and denies creationism might ask why such an important matter as the creation of human beings would be in a symbolic message rather than in explicit language. And, after all, the Holy Scriptures don`t talk about chromosomes. That is a valid question, which shall be pursued below. First off, the main interest is to see the points of confluence between evolution and creation regarding the appearance of the human being.

Parallelism Between Adam’s Rib and Science

There is an amazing coincidence between the numbers in the Book of Genesis involving creationism and numbers in science regarding man’s evolution from the ape. The parallelism begins on the Bible quotes according to which God took out one of Adam’s ribs and made the woman, Eve, with it.
“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.”

The number of ribs – Men have 24 ribs – 12 on each thoracic side. The same number is found in women. The text says that God removed one rib and not one pair of ribs. Had He indeed removed only one rib, man would have different numbers of this bone on each side of his chest. Not only that, but there would also remain a doubt about the number of ribs in a female.

These contradictions disappear if the text is examined from the standpoint of information conveyed by Jesus Christ to His disciples: “To God nothing is impossible”. God may have removed one of Adam’s ribs but He did it in such a way that the woman and all her descendants would have the same number of ribs. However, it is assumed that the rib’s removal is symbolic language and explained it cannot be regarded as direct language.

A look at it now from the standpoint of science. The chimpanzee, from which science now admits that man has evolved, has 24 chromosomes in its sexual cells, i. e., 24 chromosomes in each spermatozoon and 24 chromosomes in each ovulum. This is referred to gametes, those sex cells capable of reproducing the species. Therefore, the number of ribs in a man and of chromosomes in a chimpanzee are identical. The other cells in a chimp, as in a human, are diployd, that is, they have the chromosomes in pairs – therefore, they have 48 chromosomes.

Confluence of Book of Genesis and Human Evolution Timeline

Were we to admit that the rib symbolizes the chromosome, the implicit and explicit Bible numbers say that God removed a chromosome from a chimpanzee and made a woman out of it. In other words, the “man”, a chimp, lost a chromosome and thus a woman was formed.
Indeed, the woman, just like the man, has one chromosome less than a chimp in the sex cells. The human spermatozoon has 23 chromosomes and the human ovulum also has 23 chromosomes. It makes sense. The other cells in the human being are diployd, i. e., they have 46 chromosomes. But it is needed to see what science says regarding the man ape evolution, that is, man’s evolution from the chimpanzee.
Man’s evolution from the ape – It is admitted that, in the evolution of the species, through some unknown phenomenon, two chimp chromosomes were fused and thus, primitive man, a hominid, came about. Some theories claim that the female came first, which, if true, would give further consistency to the symbolic version of Adam and Eve’s story.

In a nutshell, this is what the matter has:
• Number of ribs in the human being: 24
• Number of chromosomes in the chimp’s gametes: 24
• Creation: removal of one rib.
• Evolution: fusion of two chromosomes.
• Rib symbolizes chromosome.
• Removal of one rib = fusion of two chromosomes.
• Number of chromosomes resulting in the gametes: 23 – New species: man, hominid.

Without wandering too far from these basic issues, it should be asked why there are so many differences between human and chimp, given the “simple” fusion of two chromosomes. Furthermore, those in favor of creationism would argue that, since the similarity between a chimp’s DNA and that of a human being is above 98%, humans and chimpanzees ought to be more alike. These are pertinent questions which must be carefully examined.

Starting with the numbers: the difference between human and chimp DNA is less than 2%. For three reasons, this percentage can be very meaningful:

the science is just barely beginning to understand the human genome, that is, the DNA map, that of genes and each one’s role. On the other hand, the researcher know also little about the chimp genome. Thus, it is perfectly acceptable that this percentage, though small, means much in terms of anatomical and physiological differences between the species;

the differences may be situated in fundamental parts of the DNA, enough to cause the differences between the species;

the amount of DNA in the cells is not always proportional to their complexity. Therefore, the arrangement of DNA components in humans may be more important than the quantity.

Thus, the slightly less than 2% difference between chimps and humans may become more meaningful.
The “simple” fusion of one species’ two chromosomes may cause many differences in the resulting species.

Why is the Bible not explicit? – In other words, why, since the issue was raised in the beginning of this article, does the Biblical message not speak directly about chromosomes? At least two answers are possible.

The first has to do with Christian and Jewish dogma: this is a sacred text, dictated or inspired by God, and there is no questioning how God speaks.
The second has to do with the Biblical writers: they would be human beings possessing a deep knowledge of evolution timeline and humans nature. They knew that it would not be possible to write what men would not understand at that time (existence of chromosomes, genes, DNA). They further knew that, in a patriarchal society such as the one they lived in, women should remain in a secondary role, in the written version, to make the acceptance of God’s word easier.

The faithful cling to the first answer, the dogma.

But those who are not faithful may properly ask how those writers, barely out of a semi-nomadic life, could possess such knowledge about the evolution of the species.
Examined as a book and without any preconceived position, the Bible is a singular book and its writers differed from common mortals. However, as intelligent as they might have been, there was no way they could have held such knowledge. Thus the answer is: this is a mystery yet.

Book of Genesis & Science: More convergence

In the pleasant study of Biblical numbers involving creation vs. evolution, there are other convergent points. Example: part of the sacred text reproduced at the beginning of this article and science’s version of the differences in man/ape. The Genesis expression “closed up the flesh in its place” conveys a special meaning and suggests more parallelisms between religion and science. It could be read as “closed up the frontal lobe in its place”.

In the monkeys the frontal lobe is 9% of the brain. In the man it is 30%. The frontal lobe is a tissue (“flesh”), a nervous tissue. The frontal lobe integrates most of the brain functions. Its prefrontal portion is related to the initiation of planned actions, i.e., thinking, idealizing, acting in orderly fashion, and letting out emotional expressions. In the difference is the “closed up the flesh in its place.”

Subsequent Procreation

The appearance of the human being raises the issue of procreation. In the history of creation, this problem does not exist: once created, Adam and Eve started to reproduce. However, in evolution, ONE individual, from the fusion of the two chromosomes, would not give origin to the human species.
To illustrate, suppose that the fusion of the two chromosomes took place in a female, resulting in 23 chromosomes in the gametes, living with males bearing 24 chromosomes in the gametes. Procreation would be impossible. Even if they copulated, no ovulum would be formed due to the lack of symmetry in the DNA. How, then, would the human being have procreated in evolution?

More likely the phenomenon – physical, chemical or physical-chemical – had by then reached several individual chimps, causing chromosome fusion in many of them, both males and females. In the history of evolution, there is still another peculiarity: the bonobos have more elements than the chimpanzees to be man’s ancestors.

Chimpanzees vs Bonobos

Preference for the chimpanzees over the bonobos – In the evolutionary scale, science shows preference for the chimpanzees over the bonobos, even though the latter are more similar to human beings. See some ones:

the similarity percentage between bonobos’ DNA and humans’ is greater than that of chimpanzees;

their genitals are more protuding and face forward, as with humans;

except for humans, they are the only primates who copulate from the front;

they engage in homosexual and heterosexual relations;

upon reaching adolescence, the females abandon their group and join another one. In their new group they submit themselves to the female – including sexually – and then copulate with the males;

the females keep together in groups and the male respects them because, together, they will fight him for food;

they stand on two legs more frequently than chimps do and their laughter is more expressive. They are also more cordial in the group.

Despite all this, it is believed that man has evolved from chimps, due to the fact that they are found in many African regions, in wide-open areas, which would have favored their territorial dispersion. Bonobos, on the other hand, live in closed-in woods, in some regions in Africa. However, from the genetic, anatomic, emotional and behavioral standpoints, more likely the human species has come from the bonobos. Perhaps, after their community was hard-hit by a cataclysm, they took refuge in closed-in woods.

Man’s Ancestor: Neither Chimpanzee nor Bonobos and Adam`s Rib

Another theory admits that chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas, orangutangs, gibbons, all belong to the primate family known as Pongid, just like the Hominid family, whose sole representative is man, all belonging to the Hominoids super family, and would have come from individuals known as Old World Monkeys.

It is possible that some violent environmental change hit Africa and Asia, altering the genetic structure of many Old World Monkeys (Cercopitecoids) sometime between six million and twenty-five million years ago. Different Pongids came into being.

Why would not different hominids have appeared? Present day human must have featured differences among individuals from the very beginning. For instance, there must have appeared at the same time individuals with white skin and with black skin in Africa and in Asia. Weather conditions and the fight for survival would have made easier for white-skinned individuals to disappear from Africa and for black-skinned individuals to disappear from ice-cold regions.

The theory of a common trunk for all Hominoids does not change the parallel with Adam’s rib. The whole Hominoid super family would have come from individuals with 24 chromosomes in the gametes. One family (Pongid) continued with 24 chromosomes in the gametes while another (Hominid) appeared with 23 chromosomes.

In today’s high paced digital world there is a very high value placed on information. Not just the kind of information you read in the newspaper or your favorite trade journals, but the type of information that we generate on a day to day basis with our digital devices. There was a time when a concept like “offsite data backup” was relegated to the geeks in IT at Fortune 500 companies…

That time is gone.

With mission critical data stacking up in both our professional and private lives more and more every day ANYONE who uses a computer should think about the safety and security of that data. And it’s not just geeks and big companies generating large amounts of important information. The average computer user is doing more than just word processing nowadays. Email, spreadsheets, financial data, personal music collections, movies, and more are digitally encoded onto the hard drives of millions of regular computer users just like you every day. How many of them do you think have considered what it would be like to LOSE IT ALL?

But today even the casual computer user has the ability to ensure the security and safety of their critical data. Online backup (or remote backup) solutions are available and within the reach of even the novice computer user. Many offsite backup solutions are as easy to configure as a web browser or media player software and can be installed and set up in a matter of minutes. Better yet, these online backup solutions can be set up to function in a completely transparent manner (that is, once you install and configure the application you don’t have to touch it again, sometimes called “set and forget”). Backups can be scheduled to occur at intervals you choose or can be invoked manually before performing a risky computer operation such as updating your operating system or adding a new hardware device.

Nowadays we all have data that we want to preserve and ensure it’s usefulness to us, and if you are serious about protecting your data you should seriously consider an offline secure backup solution.

Your DATA is your LIFE. Protect it!

How can we keep SmartDust aloft? How can we keep these tiny motes and nodes airborne for long periods of time? It maybe possible to build SmartDust so small you would need to refer to them as nanomites. Carbon Nano Tubes have transparent properties, which keeps them invisible. These nanomites can be built out of carbon nano tubes with water molecules for propulsion. Water molecules display some really interesting properties inside nano tubes and can produce hurricane like forces in a micro scale and transport them selves via micro extreme weather. Kind of like a Tornado lifting and flying a cow?

Nano Tubes and Water; Carbon nano tubes have unique properties with regards to water at various temperatures. Water in long nano tubes have behaviors which one could describe as a tornado inside a tube or a micro-Hurricane. Having such properties could be used for propulsion by if a nano tube coating was applied to a surface of lets say the bottom of an aircraft of some type or perhaps a boat or robotic AUV Autonomous Under Water Vehicle. Can we build Nanomites which are self-propelled in this way or smart dust which would have perpetual motion from the moisture in the air? Can we build flying invisible tubes made of sheets of carbon nano tubes? A literal flying carpet just like the ancient Arab tales and fables; indeed, maybe we can. Can we increase the performance of the of such flying or airborne items we innovate by sending in beams of sound with acoustic transducers, lasers, light waves, microwave or ultrasound? One think tank member writes:

“Water behaves differently when it’s inside a long, narrow nanotube, when it is controlled by hydrophobic–water repulsing–materials. The tubes were made of nearly pure carbon and were 1 atom thick. Each was 1.4 nanometers across and 10,000 nanometers long. At 8K, or minus 445 F, 4 coordinated water molecules create an icy lining inside the hydrophobic carbon nanotube. The lining free-floats inside the tube with a 0.32 nanometer space all around it. That’s as close as the water can get to the carbon. In liquid water, an average of 3.8 hydrogen bonds connect the molecule to its closest neighbors. In ice, 4 hydrogen bonds do this. In nanotube water, the number is only 1.86. The water is very active and always moving because of loose bonding. The icy lining is more stable, but the mobile chain makes and breaks bonds continuously betweeen parts of the chain and sometimes with the icy wall. The carbon nanotube sample was exposed to water vapor for several hours and exterior water was dried off. It was studied with neutron scattering techniques. A simulation was developed to show how the new form of water behaved. They will next look at water in nanotubes with smaller diameters close in size to membrane proteins that selectively transport water. They also will study the thermodynamic properties of nanotube water. They were very surprised it sounds like by the way water moved.”

Well, if all this is true then carbon nano tubes, moisture and a little powered frequency manipulation to the material and combination maybe the answer to propelling flying objects against the weak for of gravity. Of course such levitation will appear to be magic at first, but eventually the technology will be available to every aspect and industry sector of the human endeavor and indeed, solve the serious problems and future potential eventualities that mankind faces. Think on this.

Google, in their march to stay ahead of the pack of competition, has released Google Desktop Search. With Microsoft’s MSN in the lead position and nipping at Google’s heels, and Google’s new shareholders to please, Google has more incentive than ever to deploy technology both better than the other guy’s, and sooner. After all, the first to get loaded to the desktop is more likely to build and retain user loyalty.

Google Desktop Search allows you to search within various types of files on your computer. It’s still in beta, but is available for download by anyone. It requires Windows XP or Windows 2000 with at least Service Pack 3. It runs as a memory-resident application, with a system tray icon, so that it can index new documents as they are created.

For example, if you know a certain word or phrase was in a Word document, but you don’t remember which one, you can easily locate all documents on your computer that contain that word. Desktop Search can search through email, text, and HTML files, your cached web pages, and MS Office Documents (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint only).

By way of comparison, there is a competing application, also free, from Copernic, not surprisingly called Copernic Desktop Search. At the moment, it is perhaps more advanced than Google’s. For example, Copernic’s software scans the same type of files as does Google’s, but also scans music and video files and PDF documents, while Google does not. Both products can only scan Outlook or Outlook Express email at present.

But don’t count Google out. Webmasters know it’s never wise to do that! After all, they’re still in beta with Desktop Search, and they are as surely aware of Copernic’s product as they are of MSN. Google has both the resources and motivation to not only keep but expand their market leadership.

Do you own an inkjet printer? Has the printhead ever
clogged up on you, creating streaks or missing colors from
your printing?

Clogs can be incredibly frustrating. Normally when you find
out you have a clogged printhead, it’s because you’re right
in the middle of printing something important. It’s one of
those problems that you never ask for. It just seems to
throw itself in your lap without warning, and then taunts you
in your efforts to fix it.

The printhead is the mechanism of your printer (or inkjet
cartridge), where the ink actually comes out.

For the most part, printhead clogs can be normally be
flushed out with a couple of “head cleaning” cycles. A head
cleaning cycle is a built-in function of your printer. It’s a
specialized routine meant to address this type of problem.

This “cleaning cycle” works by sending a strong ‘print
signal’ to your printer, while at the same time drawing a
small vacuum from underneath. The combination of these
two steps works in an attempt to suck out clogged ink from
the printhead. From my experience, you’ll probably need to
run between 3 and 5 cycles to fully clear a clog.

The location of the head cleaning cycle proceedure varies
for each printer brand, so refer to your printer owner’s
manual for specific instructions to find yours. Check the
index first.

If you don’t have your owner’s manual anymore, you can
check our your printer manufacturers website. Most likely,
they will have your printer manual online.

There are times however, when a few standard head
cleaning routines don’t seem to solve the problem. A
stubborn printhead clog like this can be persistant enough
to make you want to rip out your hair.

For times like these, you’ll need to pull out the big guns!

For stubborn inkjet printhead clogs, there are various
cleaners out there specifically for this purpose. These
cleaners are formulated to disolve dried or “gummy” ink
which may have accumulated from infrequent printer use,
or even just a general build-up over time.

I personally brought an old printer “back from the dead”
using a product called ‘Clog Buster’. It was a printer I had
purchased off of eBay which apparently hadn’t been used
in awhile. I spent a few hours trying to revive the printer,
and ‘Clog Buster’ was the only thing that worked when
nothing else did.

The only downside with using a cleaning product like this
however, is that you usually don’t have it in your immediate
possession when the clog hits. Unless you have some
already on hand, you’ll have to wait for it to be shipped to
you. In the meantime, your printing project will have to
remain on pause until it arrives.

(But maybe I can help…)

The good news is that you MAY be able to solve the
problem using some basic household products. In fact,
Windex glass cleaner can actually work well for dissolving
dried ink. What’s the secret ingredient?

Ammonia.

Tough printhead clogs can usually be brought into
submission by soaking the printhead in a solution of
50/50% ammonia and distilled water.

A important word of warning… Ammonia is potent and
powerful stuff. When working with ammonia, always make
sure you’ve got adequate ventilation, and avoid mixing it
with other chemicals. Very important.

So, if your printhead is located on the inkjet cartridge itself,
you’ll want to soak the printhead in the 50/50 solution for
an hour or two.

If the printhead unit is located inside your inkjet printer
itself, then you’ll first need to remove the inkjet cartridges.
After those are removed, put some of the solution into the
top of the printhead (directly into the nozzle holes) and let it
sit a few hours. Go ahead and put a little more into the
printhead resting seat. (This is the rubber rectangle part
that seals off the printhead unit while the carriage is in it’s
resting position.)

If this initial soaking doesn’t work, then repeat another time
using 100% ammonia for up to one hour. Afterward, make
sure to rinse completely with distilled water.

If the clog doesn’t immediately clear, go ahead and let the
printer sit overnight and try it again the next day.
Sometimes the clog will breakdown slowly and release
later as the ammonia takes it’s toll.

Finally, for those of you wondering about the effectiveness
of using alcohol to unclog cartridges and printhead —
here’s a quick note…

Alcohol won’t work as well as ammonia, but may work
better than a few cleaning cycles. The downside is that
alcohol may actually dry out the plastics and metals in the
printhead. This could actually increase the chances of
clogging later on down the road. So try to avoid alcohol if
possible.

Recently scientists have discovered the hydrogen sulfide gas caused mice to go into spontaneous hibernation. The genetic similarities to the mammalian class humans belong to includes these rodents as well. The ability to put humans into spontaneous hibernation has incredible military applications, most of which have to do with stopping an advancing army, simply put them to sleep and thus serve your political will without having to kill them. Indeed this would change the battle space of the future in a way no one probably ever considered.

There is another military application for hydrogen sulfide gas that has not yet been discussed. That is to arm the Military Police with canisters of hydrogen sulfide gas to break up bar fights or subdue an out of control high-strung soldier with a weapon. The stress of warfare can cause behavior, which is not typical of the normal displacement of the individual. Work hard play hard also occurs during basic training or between deployments. Soldiers, young men, do have spikes in hormones and testosterone, which when put under this stress will cause severe behavioral issues. Whereas the killer instinct in necessary for survival in the heat of battle it can cause problems and such a soldier which is out of control and wants to kill someone, can be stopped short with a quick long-term nap rather than an escalation fight between him and the Military Police. There are so many stories of deaths both of soldiers and the Military Police Personal trying to stop them. By using the hydrogen sulfide gas, we can prevent deaths and channel that killer instinct behavior for the real battle. Think on this.
